Aloha kakou e komo mai, a friend sent me notice recently on facebook with a link to a website where a member had posted hundreds of images gleaned from the internet, some of which were her own.


Are any of these images yours? If so, flag and report for copyright infringement

I have posted the notice on my fb Dimensions group as well


About once or twice a week I google my own name. Almost always the first link at the top of the list is to my FAA website, which is a good thing because Fine Art America is my primary storefront and Sean has so kindly optimized our ratings in the search engines. (Thank you Sean :))
google displays my location as Honolulu because here near Waiehu we are virtually off the grid and I am on a wireless connection. That is another subject..

There are a couple of Sharon Mau's out there in the world.
I am very careful about opening links, and unless I know the source I only open the google cache to view a snapshot of the page.
On the left side of the google page there are options:

* Everything
* Images
* Videos
* News
* Shopping

* Books
* Places
* Blogs
* Realtime
* Discussions

More

When I select Images there is a ton of stuff, some of it mine and some not. As I said, there is more than one Sharon Mau.
Every comment, every avatar, so much imagery is recorded it is absolutely amazing.

But the primary thing I am looking for is my own images published on someone's else's website.

If you want, you can choose SafeSearch moderate (recommended by google) To enable the SafeSearch filter visit the Google Preferences page in the SafeSearch Filtering section...


Choose any of your images ... right click on the image and view the page info
Some of my images from imagekind are displayed there. The sizes are 650px × 432px
In my opinion, it seems large.

My thumbnails for my greeting cards from FAA are very small, which is good.
175px × 125px

Click on the image again, and you land on my portfolio on any one of my websites, which is good.
But some of them are links to other pages. So be careful.

Look at the tabs and view Media addresses

or

Hover your mouse over the image and a pop up will appear with the image source

With about 112,000 results I could spend hours in there..........

If I choose Video I see my video on youtube

When I choose News, there is nothing about me. That's good too, I don't necessarily wish to be in the news :))

If I choose Shopping I find about 350 results, and the thumbnails are all linked to Fine Art America, Zazzle, and on page 35 a few unrelated posts.
So.. this is also good...

Next I choose
More

Books.... Lots of Mau Mau and other unrelated material....

Places... A few unrelated postings
