The green Ti is considered the King of Tropical Foliage, and the beautiful rich scarlet red Ti is considered the Queen, for in traditional Hawaiian culture, the red is considered female and the green male.
Cordyline terminalis- Ti plant
The red Ti is my personal favourite. It varies in shades of red depending upon it's growing conditions. Cordylines are known to the tropical world by many names and are crowned as 'King of tropical foliage' . . The tropical Ti plant, also known as Ti is used extensively by Hawaiians and planted at the entrance to a home or business for good fortune and to drive away negative energy.
